Sugar production division - Sugar factory Prosenice



The sugar factory came into being by a reconstruction of a former mill on the mill race Strhanec in Prosenice. In 1881 the raw sugar production started in the sugar factory in Prosenice. A great reconstruction carried out in the years 1970-80 added the sugar factory Prosenice to the modern sugar producers during the socialist period of our state.

Since 1992 the state of sugar industry in the Czech Republic has been specific because of the attendance of foreign investment groups endeavouring to monopolize the sugar industry in the ČR by means of their financial policy. There exist only 11 from the original 58 sugar factories dated 1990 being able to produce sugar. These endeavours occurred also in the sugar factory Prosenice and their result was sugar production stopping in 1996. Four year later, when the sugar factory was out of operation, the production area of the sugar factory Prosenice was bought by Hanácká potravinářská společnost s.r.o. After large investment, production modernization and in cooperation with farmers in Middle Moravia there was started the first campaign successfully in September 2000. A new history of sugar production in Prosenice started in spite of the principal antagonism of sugar groups. The sugar factory Prosenice has remained in Czech hands…

Bulk sugar, big bag of 1000 kg, PA, POP of 50 kg, PA of 25 kg, PA of 15 kg, PA of 2 kg and 1 kg
Icing sugar with anti – clotting agents /E 551/:
PA of 15 kg, PA of 1 kg and 0,5 kg

Hanácká potravinářská společnost s.r.o. – Cukrovar Prosenice (Sugar Factory Prosenice) is registered in accordance with the valid wording of the Law No. 91/1966 Sb. concerning feed-stuffs as a manufacturer of feedings: beet sugar and beet molasses.
